I’m so excited to share Center Stage Sweets with everyone!

When the theatres shut down in March due to COVID-19, I lost my main creative outlet. Like many theatre artists, I hoped that the shut down would be temporary. But recently, theatres near me have announced that they are canceling their 2020-2021 seasons. After seeing those announcements, I felt lost. What was I going to do with my free time? What was I going to do to express myself?

I didn’t have the answers. But my fiance chimed in and reminded me how much I enjoy baking. But I didn’t just want to bake anymore. I wanted to create. So started thinking about how I could mix together my love of musical theatre and baking. And then I got the idea to create recipes inspired by musicals, characters, songs, theatrical experience, and the like. And just like that Center Stage Sweets was born.

I’ve been working hard on some delicious recipes and fun tutorial videos. With each recipe, I’ll not only give you the recipe and tips, but I’ll also share some information about the inspiration for each dessert. Be sure to check back weekly for new content.
